Job Purpose

• As a UI Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the structure, components, and presentation layer for web applications in alignment with the design and user experience. Optimize web pages for maximum efficiency and scalability. Work alongside Back-end Developers, UI/Visual Designers & User Experience Designers. Develop pages in line with mobile-first and Content Accessibility Guidelines.

Job Description

• We are looking for a creative, skilled UI – Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/Visual designs to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
• To be successful as a UI engineer you should have excellent knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. In addition to this, you must work well in a team as there are several individuals involved in the development process.

Development Responsibilities

• • Component-based UI development, considering scalability and reusability.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Must have a strong understanding of WCAG standards in addressing accessibility issues.
  • Develop features to enhance user experience and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Technical Skills:
  • Utilize HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS), and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
  • Familiarity with testing/debugging tools like BrowserStack and SonarQube.
