Inventory Management Software Development
The Client
The client is a leading dairy and fruit juice manufacturer based in Qatar, part of a large conglomerate in the Middle East.
The Challenge
The company operated direct distribution in Qatar and sought state-of-the-art technology to streamline its distribution. Milk and juice products were distributed through a fleet of sales vans manned by salespeople.
Key Business Objectives:
- Develop a systematic and optimal van beat plan to ensure proper market coverage.
- Enable vans to print invoices on A-4 plain paper sheets as demanded by customers.
- Implement stock management and quick cash settlement by salespeople at the end of the van beat.
Our Solution
FieldMax served as the launch partner for the client’s direct distribution business in Qatar. Using inventory management software development, we created a master data set of all retailers, including GPS coordinates, via FieldMax mobile. Sales routes were mapped and optimized using route planning software, and an interface was created with the client’s ERP system. Inventory management software development was used to introduce van inventory management, request, and approval workflows. Bluetooth printers allowed sales vans to issue A-4 size plain paper invoices quickly and efficiently, providing real-time visibility of inventory for both the company and the vans. This enabled salespeople to verify stock drafts and settle cash before returning to the warehouse.
