The client faced challenges due to the use of multiple disintegrated systems for various operations like van sales, stock allocation, report fetching, and route planning. Since they operated across different geographies and time zones, managing all sales operations through separate instances of the same application hosted on multiple servers was difficult.

Moreover, their existing mobile application, designed for use on devices with physical keypads and offline conditions, lacked access to real-time data from the field. Customizing or updating the application was also challenging as it required code changes. Additionally, the system had limitations in designing mobile reports based on specific business needs, requiring technical intervention to generate reports.

The absence of flexibility in adding custom fields for reporting created further challenges, while pricing assignments were manual, involving applying discounts and offers individually for each customer. A unified sales management application was needed to centralize operations and improve efficiency.

Our Solution

Experion proposed a unified sales management application to replace the legacy systems. This centralized application simplified maintenance and provided complete visibility over sales operations for all depots and vans. It integrated multiple functions, including van sales management, demand drafting, stock management, and reporting, into one mobile/web platform.

The sales management application includes 26 configurable modules such as the Organization Structure Module, Pricing Module, Discount Module, and Tax Module. This allows for flexible assignment of prices, taxes, discounts, and reports to specific customers based on pre-defined conditions.

The application’s reporting framework supports both web and mobile formats, allowing users to customize reports as per their requirements. It provides the ability to add dynamic flexfields at the database level, eliminating confusion in report design. Transactions can be processed online and offline, and the system supports multiple time zones and currencies. The hybrid offline capability ensures that field data is stored locally and synchronized once connectivity is restored, providing sales teams with real-time data for analysis.
