Kochi: Earthlore, a tribal music programme, will be held at Bolgatty Palace at 6pm on Sunday. The programme will showcase Kerala’s unexplored folk heritage of music in its pristine essence. Earthlore will feature indigenous artists from Kattunayakar community of Wayanad, led by M Raghu and Ramesh J B, and Irular community of Attappady, led by Nanchiyamma (Ayyappanum Koshiyum fame) and Swaminathan. Noted musicians such as multi-percussionist, vocalist and music producer Charu Hariharan, playback singer Sreekanth Hariharan, American multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and sound engineer Julian Schoming and Kerala State Folklore Academy Award winner Majeesh Karayad are also collaborating with Earthlore. Music director Bijibal, and playback singer and composer Sithara Krishnakumar will also take part as guests. The programme is being organized by Archival and Research Project (ARPO), an NGO that seeks to promote and preserve Kerala’s cultural heritage, along with Experion Technologies, a global IT solutions company and department of tourism.
